Göç ve kentleşme sürecinde ergenlerin madde kullanımına yönelten sosyal bağlamın analizi

Abstract

Bu makalede, ailesi veya kendisi İstanbul’un Üsküdar İlçesi’nde, kentleşme sürecinin devam ettiği Yavuztürk veya Kirazlıtepe mahallelerine göçle gelmiş ergenleri madde kullanımına yönelten sosyal bağlamın analizi yapılmıştır. Bu bağlamda yarı yapılandırılmış mülakat tekniğiyle madde kullanan ve okul terki yaşamış 13 ergen ile onların sosyal bağlamında etkileşimde bulundukları farklı alanlardan 27 kişi olmak üzere toplam 40 görüşme gerçekleşmiştir. Elde edilen bulguların analizi neticesinde kentleşme sorunlarının devam ettiği mahallelerde yaşayan göçmen ailelerin ve çocuklarının kente uyum sürecinde maruz kaldığı sorunlar, ebeveynlerin sosyoekonomik durumlarının çocuk yetiştirme ve madde kullanım tutumlarına etkisi, ergenlerin yakın çevresinde olumlu rol modellerin eksikliği veya yanlış rol modellerin varlığı, akran gruplarının madde kullanımına karşı yaklaşımları ve sosyal medyanın ergenlerin bu maddeleri kullanmaya yönelmelerinde belirleyici etkenler olduğu görülmüştür.

In this study, the social context of the family or the adolescents who migrated to Yavuztürk or Kirazlıtepe neighborhoods in Üsküdar District of Istanbul, which are under the urbanization project was analysed. In this context, a total of 40 interviews were conducted, including 13 adolescents who have dropped out of the school using a semi-structured interview technique and 27 people from different areas in their social context. As a result of the analysis of the obtained findings, the challenges immigrant families and their children living in the neighborhoods where urbanization problems continue face during the adaptation process, the impact of the socioeconomic status of the families on raising children and their attitude toward substance use, the lack of positive role models in their immediate surroundings or the presence of wrong role models, the approaches of peer groups towards substance use and the social media's orientation are determining factors for adolescents use of these substances.
