Mantıku’t-Tayr’da Mi’rac Yolculuğu

Abstract

Tasavvufî eserlerde kuş sembolü ve kuş dili tabiri derin sırlı manalara işaret etmekiçin sıklıkla kullanılmıştır. Ferîdüddîn Attâr’ın (ö. 618/1221) yazdığı Mantıku’t-Tayr(Kuş Dili) adlı kitapta tasavvufî sembolizmin görkemli örnekleri sunulmuştur. Eserdesemboller aracılığı ile insanın Rabbine doğru olan manevi yolculuğu ve bu süreçtetecrübe ettiği haller detaylıca anlatılmıştır. Yolculuğun sonunda Rabbi ile yaşadığıözel an, fenâ hali, vahdetin idraki ve akabinde bekâ hali ile geri dönüş görselleştiri-lerek ifade edilmiştir. Bu makalenin amacı Mantıku’t-Tayr’da sembollerin çözümünüyapmak suretiyle mi’racı incelemektir. Makalede öncelikle Mantıku’t-Tayr’ın hikâyeakışına yer verilerek, mi’rac konusuna zemin hazırlanmıştır. Ardından kuş sembolüincelenmiş, hikâyede geçen kuşların temsil ettiği manalar ele alınmıştır. Bu bağlamdahikâyenin mi’racı betimleyen sembolik bir anlatı olması üzerinde durulmuştur. İslamtarihinde mi’rac denilince akla ilk gelen Hz. Muhammed’in mi’racıdır. Velilerden isemi’raca çıktığını ilk söyleyen Bâyezîd-i Bistâmî’dir (ö. 234/848 [?]). Ayrıca Bâyezîd,Attâr’ın hayranlık duyduğu sûfîlerden biridir. Bu nedenle hikâyedeki yolculuk ile Hz.Peygamber’in ve Bâyezîd’in mi’racları arasında benzerlikler belirlenmiştir. Bunun ya-nında farklılıklara da temas edilmiştir. Böylece Mantıku’t-Tayr’ın simgesel yükselişöyküsü, yaşanmış mi’rac örnekleri aracılığıyla çözümlenmeye çalışılmıştır.In Sufi works, the symbol of the bird and the term language of the birds are frequentlyused to indicate deep secret meanings. In the book Manṭiq al-Ṭayr (The Language ofthe Birds) written by Farīd al-Dīn ‘Aṭṭār (d. 618/1221), magnificent examples of Sufisymbolism are presented. In the work, the spiritual journey of man towards his Lordand the states he experiences in this process are described in detail through symbols.The aim of this article is to review mi’raj by analyzing the symbols in Manṭiq al-Ṭayr.In the article, firstly, the story flow of Manṭiq al-Ṭayr is given and the ground is pre-pared for the subject of mi’raj. Then the bird symbol is analyzed and the meaningsrepresented by the birds in the story are discussed. In this context, it is dwelled onthat the story is a symbolic narrative depicting the mi’raj. In Islamic history, the firstthing that comes to mind when it comes to mi’raj is the mi’raj of Prophet Muhammad.On the other hand, Bāyazīd Bisṭāmī is the first of the sufis to say that he ascended themi’raj. Bāyazīd is also one of the Sufis whom Aṭṭār admires. For this reason, similaritieswere identified between the journey in the story and the mi’raj of the Prophet andBāyazīd. In addition, differences were also touched upon. Thus, the symbolic ascensionstory of Manṭiq al-Ṭayr is analyzed through the examples of mi’raj.
