Özet
Policy Highlights To achieve the recommendation stated in the chapter title, we propose the following: • EU Member States must enforce the implementation of a compre-hensive, multi-layered security approach to enhance and strengthen the defence of digital energy systems. • EU Member States must enforce mandatory cybersecurity training programmes to address human vulnerabilities. Energy operatorsmust undertake these programmes to ensure adequate education and promote digital hygiene. • All EU Member States should deploy Artificial Intelligence ethically to improve the sector's cybersecurity while sharing the technology's benefits equitably with all stakeholders. • Interdisciplinary approaches, combining Engineering and Social Science insights, can inform recommendations to address complex cybersecurity challenges.
