Öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimlerine ilişkin fenomenolojik bir araştırma

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimlerine ilişkin görüşlerini incelemektir. Araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomoloji modeli ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmaya İstanbul ili Pendik İlçesinden 43 öğretmen katılmıştır. Veriler görüşme yapılarak toplanmış ve betimsel analiz yapılarak çözümlenmiştir. Bulgulara göre öğretmenler mesleki gelişimlerini, mesleki ve eğitim içerikli yayınları takip ederek, meslektaşlarına danışarak, hizmet içi eğitim kurs ve seminerle katılarak, internet ve sosyal medyadan takip ederek gerçekleştirmektedirler. Öğretmenler, okul yöneticileri tarafından hizmet içi eğitime teşvik edildiklerini ve motive edildiklerini ifade etmişlerdir. Öğretmenler mesleki gelişimlerinin önündeki en büyük engellerin maddi ve fiziki imkânların yetersizliği olduğunu belirtmişler ve en büyük desteği meslektaşlarından gördüklerini vurgulamışlardır.

The aim of this study is to examine teachers' views on their professional development. The study was carried out with a phenomological design, one of the qualitative research methods, in accordance with the purpose of the research. 43 teachers from Pendik district of Istanbul participated in the study. Data were collected through interviews and analyzed by descriptive analysis. According to the findings, teachers perform their professional development by following professional and educational publications, consulting with their colleagues, participating in in-service training courses and seminars, and following the internet and social media. Teachers stated that they were encouraged and motivated by in-service training by school administrators. The teachers expressed that the biggest obstacles to their professional development were the inadequacy of financial and physical opportunities and emphasized that they received the greatest support from their colleagues.
