Anadolu liseleri bağlamında ortaöğretim kurumları yönetmeliği sınıf geçme sistemine yönelik bir öneri

Abstract

Türkiye’de ortaöğretim kurumlarında sınıf geçme ile ilgili esaslar Millî Eğitim Bakanlığı Ortaöğretim Kurumları Yönetmeliği ile düzenlenmektedir. Anadolu Liselerinde öğrenim gören öğrenciler, Ortaöğretim Kurumları Yönetmeliği gereği 50 not ortalamasına ulaşmaları durumunda zayıf ders sayılarına bakılmaksızın bir üst sınıfa geçebilmektedirler. Araştırmada, örnek durumlar oluşturularak olası notlar belirlenmiş ve öğrencilerin nasıl sınıf geçtikleri tespit edilmiştir. Buna göre öğrenciler, lise öğrenimleri boyunca Matematik, Fizik, Kimya, Tarih, Coğrafya gibi derslerden hiç başarılı olmasalar bile mezun olabilmektedirler. Oysaki ortaöğretim kurumlarının amaçları arasında ortak bir genel kültür kazandırmak, teknolojiden faydalanarak nitelikli eğitim vermek, yabancı dil öğretmek vb. sayılmaktadır. Zayıf ders sayısına bakılmaksızın ortalama ile öğrencilerin sınıf geçmesinin sayılan hedefleri yakalamayı güçleştirdiği düşünülmektedir. Söz konusu durumun lise mezunu sayısını artırdığı, ancak mezunların niteliğini aşağıya çektiği düşünüldüğünden bu makalede Anadolu Liselerinde çalışan öğretmenlerin görüşleri de alınarak Anadolu Liselerinde sınıf geçme sistemi üzerinde önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

The principles regarding passing class in secondary education institutions in Turkey are regulated by the Regulation on Secondary Education Institutions of the Ministry of National Education. Students studying in Anatolian High Schools can move to the next class regardless of their failed course numbers if they reach a grade point average of 50 as per the Secondary Education Institutions Regulation. In the research, possible grades were determined by creating sample situations and it was determined how the students passed the class. Accordingly, students can graduate from courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, History and Geography throughout their high school education, even if they are not successful at all. However, among the objectives of secondary education institutions are to provide a common general culture, to provide quality education by making use of technology, to teach foreign languages, etc. is counted. Regardless of the number of failed courses, it is thought that the students' passing the grade with the average makes it difficult to reach the targets listed. Since it is thought that this situation increases the number of high school graduates but decreases the quality of graduates, in this article, suggestions are made on the class passing system in Anatolian High Schools by taking the opinions of the teachers working in Anatolian High Schools.
