Abstract

Tez, İbnü'l-Cevzi'nin "Zâdu'l-Mesîr" tefsirindeki çeşitlilik farkını Bakara Suresi'nin (1-30. ayetler) üzerinde uygulamalı bir çalışma ile ele almıştır. Çalışma bir giriş, üç bölüm, sonuç ve önerilerden oluşmuş; betimleyici, tümevarımcı ve karşılaştırmalı bir yöntem benimsenmiştir. Çalışma, selef alimleri arasındaki tefsir farklılıklarının genellikle çeşitlilik farkı olduğunu ve bu durumun anlamın farklı yönlerini ifade edip birbiriyle çelişmediğini ortaya koymuştur. Bir ayetin dört ya da beş farklı şekilde tefsir edilmesi gibi durumlar, bu farklılıkların genellikle tamamlayıcı olduğunu göstermektedir. Çalışma, müfessirin bir görüşü tercih etmesinin diğer görüşleri geçersiz kılmadığını, bunun daha çok metinler, bağlam, iniş sebepleri veya dilbilimsel ve edebî deliller gibi unsurlara dayalı bir içtihat olduğunu vurgulamaktadır. Tez, çeşitlilik farkının sebeplerini şu şekilde sıralamıştır: genel bir lafzın temsili, anlamın yakın ifadelerle açıklanması, anlamın zorunlu sonucu olarak yapılan tefsir ve bir kavramın farklı sıfatlarla tanımlanması. Ayrıca bu fark, ortak bir lafzın varlığı, farklı niteliklerin bulunması veya zamirin birden fazla unsura işaret etmesi gibi durumlara da dayanabilir. Bazen bazı müfessirler ayeti dilbilimsel olarak tefsir ederken, diğerleri onu bağlamsal veya kıyasa dayalı olarak ele alabilir; ancak bu anlamların birbiriyle çelişmemesi şarttır. The thesis examined the diversity of interpretations in the commentary "Zad AlMasir" by Ibn Al-Jawzi through a practical application on Surah Al-Baqarah (verses 1–30). The study was divided into an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, and results with recommendations. It employed descriptive, inductive, and comparative methodologies. The study revealed that differences among early scholars in interpretation are often a form of diversity, reflecting various aspects of meaning without contradiction. The presence of multiple interpretations for a verse, such as four or five opinions, indicates their complementarity, either as elaborations of a comprehensive meaning or representations of its facets. The study highlighted that preferring one interpretation by a commentator does not invalidate others but is based on their reasoning, supported by texts, context, reasons for revelation, or linguistic and poetic evidence. The thesis identified several causes of diversity in interpretations, including: representing a general term, expressing the meaning with similar terms, interpreting the implicit meaning, and attributing multiple descriptions to the same entity. Additionally, it may arise from shared linguistic terms, multiple attributes, or varied pronoun references. Some interpreters focused on the linguistic meaning of verses, while others approached them contextually or analogically, provided the meanings do not conflict. The researcher emphasized the importance of reconciling interpretations when no contradiction exists. Ibn Al-Jawzi rarely preferred one interpretation but maintained a comprehensive presentation of all opinions. The thesis recommended further research encompassing the entire Qur'an to study the diversity of interpretations, as it enriches the understanding of Islamic texts and highlights the flexibility of Islamic exegesis.
