Gırgır dergisinde yoksulluk mizahları

Abstract

Bu durum çalışmasının amacı, yoksulluğun karikatürlere nasıl yansıdığını betimlemek ve bu betimleme üzerinden yoksulluğu incelemektir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışma grubunu, Gırgır dergisinin 1981-1989 yılları arasında yayımlanan sayıları içinden maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesi yöntemiyle belirlenen 36 karikatür oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak doküman incelemesi metodu kullanılmıştır. Doküman incelemesi metoduyla toplanan veriler, içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Analiz sonucunda yedi temaya ulaşılmıştır. Bu temalar: işsizlik, hayat pahalılığı, asgari ücret, gelir dağılımı adaletsizliği, temel ihtiyaçlardan ve haklardan mahrum olma, zenginler ve yoksullardır. Araştırma sonucunda, yoksulluğun karikatürlere temel ihtiyaçları karşılamaya engel olan, kişilerin insan olmaktan kaynaklanan haklarını elinden alan, yoksul bireyleri toplumsal yapının dışına iten bir sosyal hastalık olarak yansıdığı; yoksulluk fenomenin temel aktörlerinden olan zenginlerin karikatürlerde politikacı ve iş adamı meslekleriyle öne çıkan görgüsüz, açgözlü ve hırslı kişiler olarak resmedildiği yoksulların ise genel olarak öğretmen, öğrenci, memur ve işçi mesleklerine sahip, maddi ve manevi olanaksızlıkları derinden yaşayan, yapısal problemler karşısında tercihsiz ve çaresiz kalan, toplum tarafından küçük görülen kişiler olarak resmedildiği ve yoksulluğun temel belirleyici sebepleri olarak; gelir dağılımı adaletsizliğinin, işsizliğin ve asgari ücretin gösterildiği ortaya çıkmıştır

The purpose of this case study is to describe how poverty is reflected in cartoons and to examine poverty through this description. For this purpose, the study group consists of 36 cartoons determined by the maximum variation sampling method from the publications of Gırgır magazine published in 1981-1989. The document analysis method was used as data collection tool. The data collected by the document analysis method were analyzed using the content analysis method. As a result of the analysis, seven themes were reached. These themes are unemployment, cost of living, minimum wage, income distribution injustice, deprivation of basic needs and rights, the rich and the poor. As a result of the study, it is stated that poverty is reflected as a social disease that prevents cartoons from meeting basic needs, takes the rights of people arising from being human and pushes the poor individuals out of the social structure; the poor are the main actors of the phenomenon of the rich in cartoons, politicians and businessman prominence as prominent, greedy and ambitious people depicted as the poor in general, teachers, students, civil servants, and workers professions, living in the material and moral impossibilities, deeply desperate and unresponsive to structural problems as depicted as people deemed by society and as the main determinant reasons of poverty; income distribution injustice, unemployment and minimum wage.
