XIX. yüzyıl Vakanüvislerine göre tarih kavramı

Abstract

Kavramların kökendeki anlamlarının ne olduğu ve geçirdikleri anlam ve algı değişiklikleri tarihçilikte başlı başına merak edilen bir konudur. Ancak merak edildiği kadar işlendiğini söylemek o kadar kolay değildir. Tarih kavramı da bu merak edilen ama az işlenmiş kavramlardan biridir. Tarih kelimesini tez konusu olarak ele alıp işleyişimin bir başka sebebi de popüler yollarla da olsa geçmiş zamana merakımızın son dönemde haylice artmış olmasıdır. Merak edilen bu kavramın içeriği nedir, nasıl dönüşümler geçirmiştir ve son dönem Osmanlı tarihçileri tarafından nasıl algılanmıştır? Saydığım tüm bu sebeplerle tezim meraka konu olan bu kavramın 19. yüzyılın başından 19. yüzyılın sonuna kadar yazılmış Osmanlı vekayinamelerinden on bir eser yirmi sekiz cilt içinde algılanışlarını ve geçirdiği değişimleri ve diğer dillerdeki karşılıklarını göz ardı ederek sadece “tarih” kelimesinin anlamını ortaya koyma amacını taşımaktadır.

The meaning of concepts and their meaning and perception of changes in history are a matter of curiosity. But it is not so easy to say that it is processed as much as it is curious. The concept of history is one of these curious but less processed concepts. Another reason why I have dealt with the word in history as a thesis topic is that our curiosity in the past tense has increased even in popular ways. What is the content of this curious concept? How have you been transformed? and by the late Ottoman historians? For all these reasons, my thesis, which is my subject of curiosity, aims to reveal the meaning of the word of history by ignoring the perception and changes in the 28 volumes of the Ottoman and the artifacts written from the beginning of the 19th century until the end of the 19th century.
