Öğretmen Zihinsel Sorgulama Alışkanlıkları Ölçeğinin (Özsa) Türkiye Kültürüne Uyarlanması: Güvenirlik ve Geçerlik Analizi

Abstract

Öğrencilerin kazanmaları beklenen özelliklere öğretmenler de sahip oldukları takdirde, hedeflenen kazanımlara ulaşılmasının olasılığı artacaktır. Bu araştırmanın amacı “Öğretmen Zihinsel Sorgulama Alışkanlıkları Ölçeğinin (ÖZSA)” Türkiye kültürüne uyarlanması güvenirlik ve geçerlilik analizlerinin yapılmasıdır. Çalışma grubu 310’u kadın ( % 69.4) 137’si erkek ( %30,6) olmak üzere toplam 447 öğretmenden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada kullanılan veri toplama aracı çalışma grubundaki öğretmenlerin demografik bilgilerinin yer aldığı bilgi toplama formu ve Türkiye kültürüne uyarlaması yapılan Öğretmen Zihinsel Sorgulama Alışkanlıkları Ölçeği olmak üzere iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Ölçeğin dil eşdeğerliliğinin saptanması ve alt ölçek puanları arasındaki ilişkinin ortaya konulması amacıyla Pearson momentler çarpımı korelasyon katsayısı kullanılmıştır. Ölçeğin yapı geçerliliğine uygunluğunun tespit edilmesi için Kaiser-Meyer Olkin (KMO) ile Bartlett testleri yapılmış ve ölçek maddelerinin yapı geçerliliğine uygun olduğu gözlenmiştir. Yapılan açıklayıcı faktör analizi sonuçlarına göre ölçeğin üç faktörden oluştuğu kabul edilmiştir. Açıklayıcı faktör analizi ile elde edilen 11 maddenin açıkladıkları toplam varyans 54,03 olarak ölçülmüştür. Doğrulayıcı faktör analizi ile açıklayıcı faktör analizi ile ortaya çıkan üç faktörlü yapı desteklenmektedir. Ölçeğin Türkiye’de uygulanabilirliğinin mümkün olduğu araştırma sonuçlarına göre belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenlerin zihinsel sorgulama alışkanlıklarının düzeylerinin tespit edilmesi uyarlanan ölçek ile gelecek çalışmalara katkı sağlayacaktır. Öğretmen adayları için hazırlanmış olan sorgulama becerileri ölçeği gibi öğretmenlerin zihinsel sorgulama becerilerini belirlemek amacıyla ihtiyaç duyulan ölçeğin oluşturulması bakımından çalışmanın alana katkı sağlayacağı değerlendirilmektedir.

If teachers also have the characteristics that students are expected to acquire, the probability of achieving the targeted gains will increase. The aim of this research is to adapt the Teacher Inquiry Habit of Mind Scale (T-IHMS) to Turkish culture, and to perform reliability and validity analyses. This research was carried out in correlational model. The study group consisted of a total of 447 teachers, 310 of whom were female (69.4%) and 137 were male (30.6%). The data collection tool used in the research consists of two parts, the demographic data collection form, which includes the demographic information of the teachers in the study group, and the Teacher Inquiry Habit of Mind Scale (T-IHMS) adapted to Turkish culture. Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient was used to determine the language equivalence of the scale and to reveal the relationship between the subscale scores. KaiserMeyer Olkin (KMO) and Bartlett tests were performed to determine the scale's conformity with the construct validity, and it was observed that the scale items were suitable for construct validity. According to the results of the explanatory factor analysis, it was accepted that the scale consisted of three factors. The total variance explained by 11 items obtained by exploratory factor analysis was measured as 54.03. The three-factor structure that emerged with confirmatory factor analysis and explanatory factor analysis is supported. The applicability of the scale in Turkey was determined according to the results of the research. Determining the levels of teacher inquiry habit of mind will contribute to future studies with the adapted scale. It is considered that the study will contribute to the field in terms of creating the scale needed to determine the mental inquiry skills of teachers, such as the inquiry skills scale prepared for teacher candidates.
