Covıd-19 pandemisi döneminde hemşirelerde tükenmişlik ve yaşam kalitesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma, COVID-19 pandemi döneminde hemşirelerin tükenmişlik ile yaşam kalitesi düzeylerinin belirlenmesi ve aralarındaki ilişkinin değerlendirilmesi amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipteki bu çalışma bir eğitim araştırma hastanesinde COVID-19 kliniğinde yatan hastalara bakım veren 289 hemşire ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma verileri, ''Hemşire Tanıtım Formu", "Maslach Tükenmişlik Ölçeği (MTÖ)" ve "Dünya Sağlık Örgütü Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği Türkçe Ulusal Kısa Sürüm (WHOQOL-BREF-TR)" ölçekleri kullanıldı. MTÖ alt boyutlarının puan ortalaması "duygusal tükenme" 21.23±6,11; "duyarsızlaşma" 8,53±4.30; "kişisel başarı" 20,04±5.23 puanı olarak tespit edilmiştir. WOQOL-BREFTR alt boyutlarının puan ortalamaları "bedensel alan" 20,80±4,20; "ruhsal alan" puanı 18,40±3,93; "sosyal alan" puanı 8,98±2,38; "çevre-ulusal alan" puanı 25,62±5,1 olduğu saptanmıştır. Cinsiyet, medeni durum, mesleğini isteyerek yapma, çalışma şartlarını kötü olarak değerlendirme, COVID-19 salgını nedeniyle işten ayrılmayı düşünme, hastalara verdiği bakımı yeterli bulmama, uyku kalitesini kötü olarak değerlendirme durumlarının hemşirelerin tükenmişlik düzeylerini; gelir durumunu kötü olarak değerlendirme, COVID-19 salgını nedeniyle işten ayrılmayı düşünme, hastalara verdiği bakımı yeterli bulmama ve uyku kalitesini kötü olarak değerlendirme durumlarının hemşirelerin yaşam kalitelerini olumsuz etkilediği bulunmuştur. Hemşirelerin yaşam kalitesi düzeyleri ile tükenmişlik düzeylerinin bileşenleri olan duygusal tükenme ve duyarsızlaşma arasında negatif yönlü, kişisel başarı arasında ise pozitif yönlü ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir.

This study was carried out to determine the burnout and life quality level of nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic period and to evaluate the relationship between them. This descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted with 289 nurses caring for patients in a COVID-19 clinic in a training and research hospital. Research data, "Nurse Description Form", "Maslach Burnout Scale (MBI)" and "World Health Organization Quality of Life Scale Turkish National Short Version (WHOQOLBREF-TR)" scales were used. The mean score of the MBI sub-dimensions points determiden as follows: "emotional exhaustion" 21.23±6.11 points; "depersonalization" 8.53±4.30 points; "personal accomplishment" 20.04±5.23 points. The average score of the sub-dimensions of WOQOL-BREF-TR were determined as 20,80±4,20 points for "physical health"; the "psychological" score was 18,40±3,93; "social relationship" score 8,98±2,38; "environmental national" score was determined to be 25,62±5,1 points. It has been observed that gender, marital status, doing the job willingly, evaluating the working conditions as bad, thinking of leaving the job due to the COVID-19 epidemic, not finding the care given to the patients as sufficient, evaluating the sleep quality as bad affect the burnout level of the nurses. It was found that evaluating the income status as bad, considering quitting the job due to the COVID-19 epidemic, not finding the care given to the patients as sufficient and evaluating the sleep quality as bad negatively affected the life quality of the nurses. It has been determined that there is a negative relationship between nurses' life quality and emotional exhaustion and depersonalization, which are the components of burnout levels, and a positive relationship found between personal accomplishment and quality life.
