Okul müdürlerinin etik liderlik davranışlarının öğretmenlerin okul mutluluğu algısına etkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırmada okul müdürlerinin etik liderlik davranışlarının öğretmenlerin okul mutluluğu algısına etkisi incelenmiştir. Çalışmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini İstanbul'un Pendik ilçesi okullarında görev yapan 6398 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Kolayda örneklem yöntemi ile 406 tane katılımcıya ölçekler uygulanmıştır. Verileri elde etmek için araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Yılmaz (2005) tarafından geliştirilen Etik Liderlik Ölçeği (ELÖ) ile Arslan ve Polat (2017) tarafından Türkçe ye uyarlanan Örgütsel Mutluluk Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Analiz için bulguların frekans ve yüzde dağılımı, t testi, ANOVA, scheffe testi, korelasyon analizi, basit regrasyon ve çoklu regresyon analizi yapılmıştır. Elde edilen verilere göre; etik liderlik toplam puanı yüksek düzeyde, örgütsel mutluluk alt boyutlarında "olumlu duygular" ve "olumsuz duygular" orta düzeyde ve "potansiyeli gerçekleştirme" yüksek düzeyde bulunmuştur. Etik liderlik ve örgütsel mutluluk arasında tüm alt boyutlarda korelasyon tespit edilmiştir. Etik liderlik toplam puanı olumlu duygular boyutunu pozitif yönde ve yüksek düzeyde, olumsuz duygular boyutunu negatif yönde ve orta düzeyde, potansiyeli gerçekleştirme boyutunu pozitif yönde ve orta düzeyde yordamaktadır. Araştırma neticesinde etik liderliğin örgütsel mutluluk üzerinde önemli düzeyde yordayıcı etkisi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of the study is to examine the effects of school principals' ethical leadership behaviors on teachers' perception of school happiness. Relational survey model, one of the quantitative survey models, was used in the study. The population of the research consists of 6398 teachers working in schools in Pendik district of Istanbul. The scales were applied to 406 participants with the convenience sampling method. Personal Information Form developed by the researcher, Ethical Leadership Scale (ELÖ) developed by Yılmaz (2005) and Organizational Happiness Scale adapted to Turkish by Arslan and Polat (2017) were used to obtain data. Frequency and percentage distribution of the findings, t test, ANOVA, scheffe test, correlation analysis, simple regression and multiple regression were used for analysis. According to the data obtained; The ethical leadership total score was found to be high, "positive emotions" and "negative emotions" were found to be moderate in the organizational happiness sub-dimensions, and "potential realization" was found to be high. Correlation was found between ethical leadership and organizational happiness in all sub-dimensions. Ethical leadership total score predicts positive feelings dimension positively and at high level, negative feelings dimension negatively and moderately, and potential realization dimension positively and moderately. As a result of the research, it was concluded that ethical leadership has a significant predictive effect on organizational happiness.
