Lokman Sûresi bağlamında ailede irşat

Abstract

Bu tezin amacı, Lokman sûresi bağlamında aile içi irşat faaliyetlerinin incelenmesidir. Lokman sûresi Kur'ân-ı Kerîm sûreleri içinde eğitici özelliği ve ahlaki öğütleri ile öne çıkan bir sûredir. Hz. Lokman'ın (a.s.) oğluna yaptığı nasihatler bütün Müslümanlar için her çağda geçerli ilkelerdir. Bu çalışmada bu ilkelerden yola çıkılarak aile içi irşat faaliyetlerinde izlenmesi gereken usul, anne-baba-çocuk iletişimi, dinî değerlerin ve vazifelerin aile içi aktarımı, anne babanın dikkat etmesi gerekenler dinî, ahlaki ve karakter eğitimi bağlantıları ile birlikte açıklanmıştır. Ayrıca Lokman sûresiyle bağlantılı olarak irşat, tebliğ, tevhit, şükür, hamd vb. kavramlar ayet-i kerime ve hadis-i şerifler çerçevesinde açıklanmıştır. Hz. Lokman'ın (a.s.) oğluna yaptığı nasihatlerden yola çıkılarak ailede irşat faaliyetleri ayrı başlıklar ve maddeler halinde sunulmuştur. Her bir madde, ilgili konu başlığıyla hadis-i şerif bağlantısı kurularak açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırma kaynak tarama yöntemi ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmada sonuç olarak, kendisine hikmet verilen Hz. Lokman'ın çocuk eğitiminde de hikmetli bir metot kullandığı, oğluna öğüt verirken şefkat diliyle konuştuğu, eğitimde "inanç, salih amel, güzel ahlak" sıralamasını gözettiği belirlenmiştir. Lokman (a.s.) oğluna ilk olarak şirkten uzak durmasını öğütlemekle Allah'ın hukukunun gözetilmesini eğitimin temel basamağı olarak vermektedir. Aynı zamanda şirkten arındırılmış bir zihin ve gönülle kulluk eğitimine başlamaktadır. Burada inanç eğitiminin ardından ibadet eğitimine geçilmesiyle inancının gereğini yaşaması öğretilmektedir. İbadet eğitiminin ilk basamağı olarak namaz eğitiminin öne çıktığı görülmektedir. Bireysel gelişimle birlikte toplumsal sorumluluğa da önem veren Lokman (a.s.), irade eğitimi ile oğluna azmi ve sabrı aşılamaktadır. Daha sonra ahlak eğitimine geçerek iç dünyasına eğilmesini öğütlemekte, bir nevi nefs eğitimi vermektedir. Sûrede, verilen bütün bu nimetler karşılığında Allah'a şükretmek gerekliliği öne çıkarken anne babaya da teşekkür emredilerek ebeveyne itaat vurgulanmaktadır. Hz. Lokman'ın oğluna öğüt vermesi eğitimin ailede başladığının bir göstergesidir. Kur'ân-ı Kerîm'de rol model olarak takdim edilen Lokman'ın (a.s.) öğütleri, çocuk eğitiminde ilk öğretmen olan anne babalar için bir kılavuz niteliğindedir.

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate rightly directing (irshād) within a family in the context of Sūrah al-Luqmān (The Qur'ān, Chapter 31). Surah al-Luqmān is one of the chapters of the Qur'ān, that consists of didactic verses and moral advice. The advice that Luqmān the Wise gives to his son in this sūrah are valid principles for all Muslims at all ages. In this study, the method of irshād within a family and the communication between and the transmission of religious values and obligations from parents to their children are explained. These explanations are made with connections to religious, moral, and character-based education through the principles outlined in this sūrah. Moreover, the terms that relate to Sūrah al-Luqmān, such as irshād, invitational preaching (tablīgh), the oneness of God (tawhīd), gratitude (shukr), praise (ḥamd), among others, are explained through the lens of Qur'anic verses (āyāt) and the sayings, actions, or tacit approvals of Prophet Muḥammad (ḥadīth). Structurally, the irshād-based activities within a family are presented under different headings and sub-headings through the teachings of Luqmān the Wise to his son. Each sub-heading is explained in connection with related āyāt and ḥadīth. Lastly, the ways Prophet Muḥammad (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) interacted with his family in his private family life and his ways of communication with children in general are presented as a model. The research of this study was performed by scanning relevant databases and resources. This study concludes that Luqmān was a man who was granted Divine wisdom (ḥikmah). Consequently, he utilized a wise method in child education and raising. As a part of his method, Luqmān used compassionate language when he advised his son and directed (him) to faith (imān), righteous deeds (aʿmāl sālihah), and good character (ḥusn al-khuluq). Luqmān's method was also initiated in steps. In particular, while advising his son to stay away from associating partners with God (shirk), Luqman established the initial step of training as protecting the rights of Allah. Learning how to establish the prayer (ṣalah) was also emphasized as a part of this first step. Secondly, Luqmān directed to further training of servanthood (ibādah) after cleansing the heart and the mind from shirk. Here, the training of being a servant of Allah was performed through righteous deeds in order to teach how to live with imān. Luqmān cared about one's individual development as well as one's societal responsibility. Thus, he advised his son about controlling his own self (nafs) in order to work hard and persevere. The last part of Luqmān's method consisted of improving one's good character while turning inwardly, similar to the training of the nafs in Islamic spirituality (at-taṣawwuf). As extending from child education and raising, Sūrah al-Luqmān also teaches general lessons for all believers: gratitude towards Allah for all the provisions He provides is emphasized together with the thankfulness and obedience towards one's own parents. In conclusion, Luqman's advice to his son shows that the very first place child education starts is the family. Luqman is presented as a role model in the Qur'ān and his advice is a road map for parents as the first educators of their children.
