Harry J. Gensler'in "Formal Ethics" Adlı Eserinin Türkçeye Çevirisi, Tahkiki ve Eserdeki İlkelerin Kur'an-ı Kerim'deki Ahlaki Sistemle Analizi

Abstract

Bu çalışma meta-etik alanda yazılmış ve Amerika'da ünlenerek üniversitede ders kitabı olarak okutulan İngilizce dildeki Formal Ethics isimli eserin Türkçeye tercümesidir. Ve bu çerçevede oluşturulmuş ahlaki bir sistemin ortaya koyduğu evrensel ilkelerle İslam'ın kaynağı olan Kur'an-ı Kerim'deki ahlaki sistemin karşılıklı analiz edilmesini ele almaktadır. Meta-etik alanında yapılan çalışmaların büyük oranda yabancı kaynaklı olması tercüme faaliyetini gerekli kılmaktadır. Modern ahlak felsefesinin bir parçası olan meta-etik gelişmekte olan bir alandır. Türkiye'de bu alanda yapılacak olan yeni çalışmalara ışık tutması bağlamında çalışmamızın alana katkı sağlayacağını düşünmekteyiz. Etikötesi- etiküstü olarak çevrilen meta-etik klasik felsefi sorgulamaların ötesinde ahlaki yargıların geçerliliğiyle ilgilenmektedir. Bu alanda yazılmış olan Formal Ethics isimli eser ahlaki yargılarımızın kaynağıyla ilgilenmekte veyazar oluşturduğu etik sistemin içinde yer alan evrensel kabul ettiği ahlak ilkelerini rasyonel kalıplarla yeniden formüle etmektedir. Son yüzyılda dünyadaki ahlaki bozuluşun farkında olup çözüm arayan, hayatını etik ve mantık ilmine vakfetmiş bir eğitimci olan Gensler'in uygulanabilir evrensel bir ahlak sisteminin nasıl olması gerektiğine dair yapmış olduğu çalışmayı sizlere sunmaktayız. Kur'an'daki ahlak sistemle analiz etmekteki niyetimiz ise meta-etiksel olarak Kur'an'ın ahlak sistemini değerlendirmektir.

This study is a translation into Turkish of Formal Ethics, an English-language work written in the field of meta-ethics, which has become famous in America and is taught as a textbook in universities. And it deals with the mutual analysis of the moral system in the Qur'an, which is the source of Islam, and the universal principles put forward by a moral system created within this framework. The fact that most of the studies in the field of meta-ethics are of foreign origin makes translation necessary. Meta-ethics, which is a part of modern moral philosophy, is a developing field. We think that our study will contribute to the field in the context of shedding light on new studies to be conducted in this field in Turkey. Meta-ethics, translated as trans-ethics, deals with the validity of moral judgments beyond classical philosophical inquiries. Formal Ethics, a work written in this field, deals with the source of our moral judgments and the author reformulates the moral principles that he considers universal in the ethical system he has created with rational patterns. Gensler, an educator who has devoted his life to the science of ethics and logic, who is aware of the moral deterioration in the world in the last century and is looking for a solution, presents his work on how a universal ethical system should be applied. Our intention in analyzing the moral system in the Qur'an is to meta-ethically evaluate the moral system of the Qur'an.
