İlkokul 4. Sınıf Türkçe Dersi Öğretiminde Materyal Kullanımının Öğrencilerin Akademik Başarısına, Tutumuna ve Motivasyonuna Etkisi

Abstract

Çalışmanın amacı “İlkokul 4.sınıf Türkçe dersi öğretiminde materyal kullanımının öğrencilerin akademik başarısına, tutumuna ve motivasyonuna etkisi”nin incelenmesidir. Bu araştırmada deneysel araştırma modellerinden korelasyon yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma 2023-2024 eğitim öğretim yılında İstanbul İli Güngören İlçesinde bir devlet okulundaki toplam 38 ilkokul 4. sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin toplanmasında Erdem ve Gözüküçük (2013) tarafından geliştirilen “Türkçe Dersine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği” ile “Türkçe Dersi Motivasyon Ölçeği”, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilmiş olan “ Türkçe Dersi Kazanımları Öğretmen Yapımı Akademik Başarı Testi” ve araştırmacının kendisi tarafından oluşturulan anket kullanılmıştır. Kullanılan materyallerin başarıya etkisinin gözlenmesi için öğrencilere ön test ve son test yapılmıştır. Öğrencilerin yeterliklerinin belirlenmesine ilişkin standart sapma ve aritmetik ortalama kullanılmıştır. Değişkenler arasında farklılığı ortaya koyabilmek için ikili karşılaştırmalarda dağılım normal olduğundan t testi ve korelasyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucu incelendiğinde öğrencilerin akademik başarı testinde deney grubu lehine anlamlı farklılık belirlenmiştir. İlkokul 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin Türkçe dersi öğretiminde materyal kullanımının tutum ve motivasyon düzeylerinde anlamlı farklılık oluşmamıştır.

The purpose of the study is to examine "The effect of material use in teaching 4th grade Turkish course in primary school on students' academic achievement, attitude and motivation". In this research, the correlation method, one of the Experimental Research models, was used. The research consists of a total of 38 primary school 4th grade students in a public school in Güngören District of Istanbul Province in the 2023- 2024 academic year. In collecting data, the "Attitude Scale Towards Turkish Lesson" and "Turkish Lesson Motivation Scale" developed by Erdem and Gözübüyük (2013), the "Turkish Lesson Achievements Teacher-Made Academic Achievement Test" developed by the researcher, and the survey created by the researcher himself were used. Pre-test and post-test were given to the students to observe the effect of the materials used on success. Arithmetic mean and standard deviation were used to determine the proficiency of the students. In order to reveal the difference between the variables, t test and correlation analysis were used since the distribution was normal in pairwise comparisons. When the research results were examined, a significant difference was determined in favor of the experimental group in the students' academic achievement test. There was no significant difference in the attitude and motivation levels of 4th grade primary school students in the use of materials in teaching Turkish.
