Öğretmenlerin politik becerileri ile örgütsel sessizlik düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Araştırmanın amacı, öğretmenlerin politik becerileri ile örgütsel sessizlik düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Bu çalışma, ilişkisel tarama modeli çerçevesinde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2023-2024 eğitim-öğretim yılında İstanbul ilinde görev yapan 421 öğretmen oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama araçları arasında katılımcıların demografik özelliklerini tespit etmek için araştırmacı tarafından düzenlenen Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Politik Beceri Envanteri ve Örgütsel Sessizlik Ölçeği bulunmaktadır. Verilerin normal dağılım gösterdiği tespit edilmiş ve analizler parametrik testlerle desteklenmiştir. Araştırmada, değişkenlerin ikili karşılaştırmaları için t-Testi, birden fazla değişken arasındaki ilişkileri incelemek için ANOVA ve değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amacıyla Pearson korelasyon testleri kullanılmıştır. Bağımsız değişkenin bağımlı değişkene etkisini belirlemek için regresyon analizi uygulanmıştır. Öğretmenlerin politik becerileri "yüksek", sessizlik düzeyleri ise "orta" olarak bulunmuştur. Politik beceri envanteri toplam puanı ve alt boyutları puanları incelendiğinde öğretmenlerin medeni durum ve okul türü değişkeni arasında farklılık bulunurken; cinsiyet, çalışma süreleri, yaş ve eğitim durumu değişkenleri arasında farklılığa rastlanmamıştır. Öğretmenlerin sessizlik toplam puanı alt boyutları dikkate alınarak incelendiğinde; cinsiyet, medeni durum ve yaş değişkeninde farklılık bulunmazken; çalışma süreleri, eğitim durumları ve okul türü puanları arasında farklılık olduğu belirlenmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre iki değişken arasında pozitif ve düşük düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmış, politik becerinin örgütsel sessizlik düzeyini %5 düzeyinde yordadığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of the study is to "examine the relationship between teachers' political skills and organizational silence levels." This study was conducted within the framework of relational survey model. The study group of the research consisted of 421 teachers working in Istanbul in the 2023-2024 academic year. Data collection tools included the Personal Information Form, Political Skills Inventory and Organizational Silence Scale, which were designed by the researcher to determine the demographic characteristics of the participants. The data were found to be normally distributed and the analyses were supported by parametric tests. In the study, t-Test was used for pairwise comparisons of variables, ANOVA was used to examine the relationships between more than one variable and Pearson correlation tests were used to determine the relationship between variables. Regression analysis was applied to determine the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable. The political skills of the teachers were found to be "high" and their silence levels were found to be "medium". When the total score and sub-dimensions of the political skill inventory were examined, there was a difference between the marital status and school type variables of the teachers, while there was no difference between the variables of gender, working hours, age and education level. When the total score of the teachers was examined considering the sub-dimensions of silence, there was no difference between the variables of gender, marital status and age, while there was a difference between the scores of working hours, education level and school type. According to the research findings, a positive and low-level significant relationship was determined between the two variables, and it was concluded that political skill predicted the level of organizational silence at the level of 5%.
