Okul müdürlerinin liderlik stillerinin öğretmen liderliği üzerine etkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, okul müdürlerinin liderlik stillerinin öğretmen liderliği üzerine etkisini belirlemektir.Araştırmada ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu İstanbul ili Kâğıthane ilçesinde 2021-2022 eğitim-öğretim yılında görev yapan 370 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma, kolayda örnekleme yöntemi kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Veri toplama araçları olarak, Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Okul Müdürlerinin Liderlik Stilleri Ölçeği (OMLSÖ) ve Öğretmen Liderliği Ölçeği (ÖLÖ) kullanılmıştır. Verilerin normal dağılım gösterdiği tespit edilerek, parametrik testler uygulanmıştır. Araştırmada t-Testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA), Pearson korelasyon, basit ve çoklu regresyon analizleri yapılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; öğretmenlerce okul müdürlerinin liderlik stillerinden Dönüşümcü ve Sürdürümcü liderlik stillerinin orta; serbest bırakıcı liderlik stilinin ise düşük düzeyde olduğu, öğretmenlik liderliğinde; kurumsal gelişme, mesleki gelişim, meslektaşlarla işbirliği alt boyutları ve öğretmen liderliği toplam puanının yüksek düzeyde algılandığı tespit edilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre okul müdürlerinin liderlik stillerinin cinsiyet, kıdem, medeni durum ve kademe değişkenlerine göre, öğretmen liderliğinin cinsiyet ve kademe değişkenlerine göre anlamlı düzeyde farklılaştığı bulunmuştur. Okul müdürlerinin sergilediği dönüşümcü liderlik stili ile öğretmen liderliği ve alt boyutları arasında pozitif yönde; serbest bırakıcı liderlik ve sürdürümcü liderlik stilleri ile öğretmen liderliği ve alt boyutları arasında negatif yönde bir ilişki olduğu ve tüm alt boyutlarda okul müdürlerinin liderlik stillerinin öğretmen liderliğini yordadığı bulunmuştur.

The aim of this research is to conduct the effect of school managers' leadership styles on teacher leadership.The correlational survey model was used in the research. The study group of the research consists of 370 teachers working in the district of Kağıthane, Istanbul in the 2021-2022 academic year. In the research, the convenience sampling was used in the method. Personal Information Form, Leadership Styles of School Principals Scale and Teacher Leadership Scale were used as data collection tools. Parametric tests were applied after conducting the normal distribution of the data. In the research t-Test one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), pearson correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were applied. According to the results of the research; transformational and transactional leadership styles of school principals are moderate; on the other hand, in the teaching leadership, where the laissez-faire leadership style is at a low level; ıt has been determined that the sub-dimensions of ınstitutional development, professional development, collaboration with colleagues and teacher leadership are perceived at a high level. According to the findings of the study, it was found that the leadership styles of school principals became distinct significantly according to the variables of gender, seniority, martial status and level and teacher leadership differed significantly according to gender and level variables. There is a positive correlation among the transformational leadership style reflected by the school principals and the teacher leadership and its sub-dimensions; moreover it was found that there was a negative relationship among laissez-faire, transactional leadership styles, teacher leadership and its sub-dimensions, and that the leadership styles of school principals predicted teacher leadership in all sub-dimensions.
