Ergenlerin Öz Şefkat Düzeyleri ile Aile İklimi Algıları Arasındaki İlişkinin İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ergenlerin öz şefkat düzeyleri ile aile iklimi algıları arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir.Çalışmada nicel araştırma yöntemi ve ilişkisel tarama deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu İstanbul ilinin Avrupa Yakasında bulunan ortaokul ve liselerde öğrenim gören 502 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Veriler Demografik Bilgi Formu, "Öz Şefkat Ölçeği Kısa Formu" ve "Aile iklimi Ölçeği" ile toplanmıştır. Toplanan veriler, SPSS paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Analiz öncesinde verilerin normal dağılım gösterdiği belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada, bağımsız gruplar t testi, ANOVA, korelasyon ve regresyon analizleri kullanılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda, ergenlerin aile içi ilişkisellik ve bilişsel uyum algıları ile öz şefkat düzeyleri arasında pozitif yönde ilişkili olduğu; buna karşın öz şefkat düzeyleri ile kuşaklar-arası otorite arasında negatif ilişkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir Aile içindeki destekleyici ilişkiler ve bilişsel uyum, ergenlerin öz şefkat gelişiminde önemli bir rol oynarken; otoriter bir aile yapısı, öz şefkatin gelişimini olumsuz etkileyebilir.

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between adolescents' self-compassion levels and their perceptions of family climate. Quantitative research method and relational survey design were used in the study. The study group consisted of 502 students studying in middle and high schools on the European Side of Istanbul. Data were collected using the Demographic Information Form, "Self-Compassion Scale Short Form" and "Family Climate Scale". The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS package program. Before the analysis, it was determined that the data showed a normal distribution. Independent groups t-test, ANOVA, correlation and regression analyses were used in the study. As a result of the analyses, it was determined that there was a positive relationship between adolescents' perceptions of relatedness and cognitive adaptation within the family and their self-compassion levels; on the other hand, there was a negative relationship between their self-compassion levels and intergenerational authority. While supportive relationships and cognitive adaptation within the family play an important role in the development of self-compassion in adolescents, an authoritarian family structure may negatively affect the development of self-compassion.
