Abdurrahman Taha'nın ahlak anlayışı

Abstract

Ahlak felsefesi alanında epeyce tartışmaların olduğu bilinen bir gerçektir. Abdurrahman Taha da bu tartışmaları yürütenlerden biridir; o, ahlakı, insanın yaratılışından gelen değerleri eyleme dönüştürmesi olarak görür. Bu anlamda onun felsefesinde ahlak; din, eylem ve akıldan ayrışmaz. Çağdaş dünyanın genel durumuna baktığımızda, pek çok alanı birbirinden ayıran, parçalayan Batılı modernite anlayışı bütün ilerleme, gelişme ve iyiye gitme vaatlerine rağmen insanlığı ahlakî bir krizin içine düşürdüğü görülmektedir. Çalışmamızda Abdurrahman Taha'nın söz konusu krize ve Batılı modernite taklitçilerine yönelttiği eleştirilerle, aleternatif olarak önerdiği İslam'ı esas alan ahlak teorisini felsefi tahlil ve terkip yöntemiyle tartışmaya çalıştık. Taha, din-ahlak ilişkisini incelerken ahlakın dine dayandığını ve din olmadan ahlak olmayacağını savunmaktadır. Akıl-ahlak ilişkisinde, aklın kalbin bir fiili olduğunu, başlı başına bağımsız bir alan olarak ele alınmasının ahlaki yıkımlara sebep olacağını iddia etmektedir. Amel-ahlak ilişkisinde de ahlakın dinî amelle bir bütünlük teşkil ettiğini ve hayata geçmeyen düşüncenin teoriden ibaret olduğunu özenle vurgulamaktadır. Bu anlamda Abdurrahman Taha, dini amelle ahlakı arındırmayı İslam ahlakına dönüş ve dini düşüncenin yenilenmesi için bir şart olarak görmektedir. Abdurrahman Taha Batı'nın bütün toplumlara dayattığı tek tür modernite anlayışının ve insanlık üzerinde kurduğu hegemonik gücün karşısında yer alabilecek nitelikteki ahlak anlayışının, İslam ahlakı olduğunu savunmaktadır. O, bu savunmasında modernizme çok önemli belli bazı noktalarda eleştiriler yöneltmiş, tutarlı ve tatmin edici bir İslami ahlak anlayışının hayata geçirilmesi konusunda da hem insanın varlık yapısını hem toplum içindeki yerini göz önünde bulundurarak daha iyi bir hayat konusunda önemli önerilerde bulunmuştur. Ona göre, İslam ahlakı, tüm insanlığı kuşatıcı, düşünce-eylem birlikteliğini savunan, aşırılıklardan uzak, aklı mutlaklaştırmayarak köreltici güç olmasını engelleyen, örnek bir ahlaktır.

It is a known fact that there are a great number of discussions in the field of moral philosophy. Abdurrahman Taha sees morality as the realization of human's innate values into action. In this sense, in his philosophy, morality cannot be separated from religion, action, and wisdom. When we look at the general situation of the modern world, it is seen that the Western mentality of modernity, which separates and fragments numerous fields, has plunged humanity into a moral crisis despite all the promises of progress, development, and improvement. In our study, we tried to discuss Taha's criticism of this crisis and imitators of Western modernity, and the moral theory based on Islam, which he suggested as an alternative, with the method of philosophical analysis and composition. While analyzing the religion-moral relationship, Taha argues that morality is based on religion and it cannot be possible without religion. He also claims that in the wisdom-moral relationship, wisdom is an act of the heart, and considering wisdom as an independent area will cause moral destruction. In the action-morality relation, he carefully stresses that morality constitutes a unity with religion and that the thought that does not come to life is composed of theory. In this sense, Taha sees catharizing morality through religious action as a condition for returning to the morality of Islam values and renewing religious thought. Taha asserts that the morality of Islam is only the sense of morality, which can stand against the single type of modernity that the West imposes on all communities and the hegemonic power it has established over humanity. In this argument, he criticized modernism on some crucial points, and made important suggestions for a better life, taking into account both the human being's structure and its place in society, for actualizing a consistent and convincing sense of Islamic morality. According to Taha, the morality of Islam is an exemplary morality, which surrounds all humanity, and argues the unity of thought and action, is far from extremism, and prevents wisdom, by not absolutizing it, from becoming a blinding force.
