İmam Hatip Liselerinde verilen mesleki dersler bağlamında öğrencilerin din eğitimine yönelik görüşlerinin incelenmesi: İstanbul örneği

Abstract

İmam Hatip Liseleri din eğitimi kapsamındaki meslek dersleri ile kültür derslerini aynı anda eğitim programına dahil etmiş okullardır. Din eğitimi öğrencilerinin eğitim süreçlerinde; doğru düşünce anlayışına sahip, öğrendiklerini hayatlarına aktarabilen, yaşamlarını din eğitimiyle harmanlayabilen bir nesil olarak yetişmelerini sağlamayı amaçlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda çalışmada öğrencilerin orta öğretim süreleri boyunca okullarında aldıkları din eğitimine ilişkin görüşlerinin ve beklentilerinin öğrenilmesi hedeflenmiştir. Araştırmada meslek dersleri eğitim durumları değişkenleri, öğretmen faktörü ve din eğitiminin öğrenciler üzerindeki etkileri öğrenci görüşleriyle sunulmuştur. Araştırmanın amacı İmam Hatip Lisesinde verilen meslek dersleri bağlamında din eğitiminin öğrencilerin görüşleri doğrultusunda değerlendirilmesidir. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubu seçiminde amaçlı örneklem çeşitlerinden benzeşik/ homojen örnekleme yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Bu amaçla İmam Hatip Liselerinin alt grubu olan Fen ve Sosyal Bilimler İmam Hatip Lisesi öğrencileri katılımcı olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın çalışma grubunu İstanbul İli Avrupa Yakasında bulunan 3 farklı Fen ve Sosyal Bilimler Anadolu İmam Hatip Lisesi 10. 11. ve 12. sınıflarında eğitim gören ve mülakata katılmak isteyen 30 gönüllü öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmanın veri toplama sürecinde uzman görüşleri doğrultusunda araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formları kullanılarak mülakat tekniği ile yüz yüze görüşmeler yapılmıştır. Görüşme sonucu elde edilen görüşler nitel analiz çeşitlerinden betimsel analiz ve içerik analizi yöntemleriyle analiz edilmiş, elde edilen veriler uzman görüşleri alınarak yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucuna göre mülakata katılan öğrenciler meslek dersi ders saatlerini fazla, müfredatları ise yeterli olarak ifade etmişlerdir. Meslek dersi ders kitaplarını anlaşılır ve yeterli olarak değerlendirmişlerdir. Katılımcılar meslek derslerinde aldıkları notların bir anlam ifade etmediği yönünde kanaat bildirmişlerdir. Öğrenciler öğretmenleriyle olumlu iletişim kurduklarını ve öğretmenlerine sordukları sorulara yeterli cevap alabildiklerini düşünmektedirler. Öğrenciler kimlik gelişimlerinin, araştırma ve sorgulama yetilerinin gelişimlerinin din eğitimiyle desteklendiğini, ayrıca din eğitiminin hayatı anlamlandırma konusunda kendilerine katkı sağladığını belirtmişlerdir. Katılımcılar din eğitiminin çevreleri ile ilişkilerine olumlu etkisi olduğu görüşündedirler. Öğrenciler meslek derslerine yönelik olumlu tutuma sahip olduklarını ifade etmişler ve meslek derslerine yönelik çeşitli beklentiler sunmuşlardır.

Imam Hatip High Schools are schools that have included vocational and cultural courses within the scope of religious education at the same time. This schools aims to grow up a generation that has the right understanding of thought, can transfer what they have learned to their lives, and can blend their lives with religious education. In this context, this study aims to learn the opinions and expectations of the students regarding the religious education they receive in their schools during their secondary education. Therefore, variables of vocational courses, educational status, teacher factors, and the effects of religious education on students were presented with student opinions. This research aims to evaluate religious education in line with the opinions of students in the context of vocational courses given at Imam Hatip High School. The case study design, one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the study. The homogeneous sampling method was used in the selection of the study group. For this purpose, Science and Social Sciences Imam Hatip High School students, which is a subgroup of Imam Hatip High Schools, were determined as participants. In this context, the study group of the research consists of 30 volunteer students studying at the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades of three Science and Social Sciences Anatolian Imam Hatip High Schools located in the European Side of Istanbul who want to participate in the interview. In the data collection process of the study, face-to-face interviews were conducted using the semi-structured interview forms prepared by the researchers in line with the expert opinions. The opinions obtained as a result of the interviews were analyzed with descriptive analysis and content analysis methods, and the obtained data were interpreted by taking expert opinions. According to the results of the study, the students who participated in the interviews stated that the number of vocational course hours was too much and the curriculum was sufficient. They evaluated vocational course textbooks as comprehensible and sufficient. The participants were of the opinion that the grades they received in vocational courses did not mean anything. Students think that they communicate positively with their teachers and that they can get adequate answers to the questions they ask their teachers. Students stated that their identity development and the development of their research and questioning skills were supported by religious education, and that religious education contributed to making sense of life. Participants think that religious education has a positive effect on their relations with their environment. Students expressed positive attitudes towards vocational courses and presented various expectations for vocational courses.
