Abstract

Bu çalışma, “Deneyim ve Eğitim” adlı kitabın özeti olarak şekillendirilmiştir. Adı geçen eser, 111 sayfalık bir kitaptır. Yazarı, John Dewey’dir. Kitabın Türkçe’ye çevirisi Sinan Akıllı tarafından yapılmıştır. Tarcan Matbaacılık tarafından dördüncü baskısı Ağustos 2014’te basılmıştır. Basım yayın hakları ODTÜ Geliştirme Vakfı ve Yayıncılık ve İletişim A.Ş.’ye aittir. Kitabın ederi 10 TL’dir. Kitap, toplam sekiz bölümden oluşmaktadır. Sekiz bölümün dışında kitabın ön kısmında bir önsöz bir de editörün önsözü yer almaktadır. İlk bölüm “Geleneksel Eğitime Karşı İlerlemeci Eğitim” başlığıyla verilmiştir. İkinci bölüm “Deneyim Kuramı İhtiyacı” olarak adlandırılmıştır. Üçüncü bölüm “Deneyim Ölçütleri” ismiyle nitelendirilmiştir. “Toplumsal Denetim” dördüncü bölümün, “Özgürlüğün Doğası” ise beşinci bölümün ismidir. Altıncı bölüm “Maksadın Anlamı”, yedinci bölüm “Konu Alanının İlerlemeci Tarzda Düzenlenmesi” şeklinde düzenlenmiştir. Sekizinci ve son bölümün adı “Deneyim-Eğitimin Araç ve Amacı”dır.

This study is formed as the summary of the book “Experience and Education”. Aforementioned work is a 111 page-book. The author is John Dewey. It is translated to Turkish by Sinan Akıllı. The forth edition is printed by Tarcan Printery at August of 2014. Publishing rights belong to ODTÜ Development Foundation and Publishing and Communication Joint Stock Company. The price of the book is 10 TL. The book consists of 8 chapters. Beside the 8 chapters, there are also a preface and author’s foreword at the front of the book. The first chapter is given in the title of “Progressive Training Against Traditional Training”. The second chapter is named as “the Need for Experience Theory”. The third chapter is characterized by “Experience Criteria”. The forth chapter’s name is “Social Control” and the fifth’s is “the Nature of Freedom”. Chapter 6 is as “Meaning of Purpose” and chapter 7 is organized in the form of “Regulation of Subject Area in a Progressive Manner”. The title of chapter 8 is “Experience-Education’s Tool and Goal”.
