Osmanlı Devletinde Azınlık ve Yabancı Okulların Osmanlı Eğitimine Etkisi

Abstract

Eğitim bir toplumun temel yapıtaşlarından biridir. Ülkelerin bilgiye önem veren toplumlara dönüşmesiyle birlikte hızlı bilimsel ve teknolojik gelişmeler diğer devletleri de etkilemiştir. Osmanlı Devleti de bu gelişmelerden etkilenmiştir. Yaşana bu etki hem devletin yönetim yapısında hem de sosyo kültürel yapısında kendisini göstermiştir. Osmanlı Devleti’nde kurumların örgütlenme biçimi İslami kültür etkisi altında gerçekleşmiştir. Bu çalışmada, Osmanlı Devleti döneminde Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nda faaliyet gösteren azınlık ve yabancı okulların eğitim sistemine etkilerini incelemektedir Yabancı devletlerin açtığı okulların sayısındaki artış, Osmanlı eğitim politikalarında çeşitli reformlara yol açmıştır. Bu makalede, yabancı okullar ve azınlık okullarının Osmanlı eğitimine olan etkileri, devletin bu okullara karşı aldığı önlemler ve sonuçları literatür kaynakları üzerinden ele alınmaktadır.

Education is one of the fundamental building blocks of society. As countries transformed into information societies, rapid scientific and technological advances impacted other states. The Ottoman Empire was also affected by these developments. This impact manifested itself in both the state's administrative structure and sociocultural structure. The organizational structure of institutions in the Ottoman Empire was influenced by Islamic culture. This study examines the impact of minority and foreign schools operating in the Ottoman Empire on the education system during the Ottoman period. The increase in the number of schools opened by foreign states led to various reforms in Ottoman education policies. This article examines the impact of foreign schools on Ottoman education, the measures taken by the state against these schools, and their consequences.
