XVIII. ve XIX. yy'da tezhip sanatında Osmanlı modernleşmesinin izleri: Osmanlı Sarayında Türk Rokokosu üslubu ve Ser Mücellidân-ı Hassa Hezargradlızâde es-Seyyid Ahmed Atâullah

Abstract

Osmanlı sanatında görkemli eserlerin yapıldığı klasik dönemin ardından Batı ile kurulan ilişkiler, sanatkârların zamanla yeni sanat akımları oluşturmalarına imkân vermiştir. Avrupa sanat üslupları olan barok ve rokoko üsluplarının etkileri mimari ve dekorasyonun yanı sıra Osmanlı tezhip sanatında da etkili olmuştur. XVIII. ve XIX. yy. tezhip sanatkârları Avrupa kaynaklı sanat tesirlerine kendi zevk ve klasik Osmanlı üslubunu yorumlayarak Türk Rokokosu adı ile anılan yeni bir sanat üslubu meydana getirmişler, İslam sanatına uyarladıkları bu modern tezhip üslubunu Osmanlı medeniyetine mâl etmişlerdir. XVIII. yy 'da modernleşmenin her dalında olduğu gibi sarayda, tezhip sanatkârlarının başlattığı İslam sanatında modernleşme XIX. yüzyılda eserleriyle tanınan, Sultan II. Mahmud dönemi (1808-1839) ve sonrasında da Ser Mücel-lidân-ı Hassa olan dönemin en önemli müzehhibi Hezargradlızâde es-Seyyid Ahmed Atâullah Efendi tarafından devam ettirilmiştir. Atâullah Efendi İslam sanatında uygulanan Türk Rokokosu üslubunun öncüleri arasında yer almış ve yetiştirdiği öğrenciler aracılığıyla bu üslubu ilerleterek sarayda orijinal eserler vermişlerdir. Bu çalışma Ahmed Atâullah Efendi'nin saray baş mücellidi olarak imza attığı eserlerden ve bu üslupta eser vermiş sanatçıların eserlerinden örnekleri inceleyerek "Türk Rokokosu'' üslubunu tanıtmayı ve Osmanlı modernleşmesinin İslam sanatını da içine alacak kadar büyük ve köklü bir dönüşüm olduğunu ortaya koymayı amaçlamaktadır.

After the classical period, when magnificent works were made in Ottoman art, the relations established with the west allowed artists to create new art movements over time. The effects of baroque and rococo styles, which are European art styles, were effective in Ottoman illumination art as well as architecture and decoration. They created a new art style known as Turkish Rococo by interpreting their taste and classical Ottoman style to the European-origin art influences of the illumination artists of the 18th and 19th centuries, and they attributed this modern illumination style, which they adapted to the Islamic art, to the Ottoman civilization. As in all branches of modernization in the 18th century, modernization in Islamic art initiated by illumination artists in the palace began in the XIX. known for his works in the century, it was continued during the Sultan II. Mahmud period (1808-1839) and later by Hezargradlızâde es-Seyyid Ahmed Atâullah Efendi, the most important illuminator of the period, Ser Mücellidân-ı Hassa. Atâullah Efendi was among the pioneers of the Turkish Rococo style applied in Islamic art, and they produced original works in the palace by improving this style through the students he trained. This study aims to introduce the "Turkish Rococo" style by examining the works of Atâullah Efendi as the chief bookbinder of the palace and the works of the artists who worked in this style and to reveal that the Ottoman modernization was a great and radical transformation that included Islamic art.
