"er-Reyyân Fi Tefsîri'l-Kur'ân" Bağlamında Muhammed B. Sâlim el-Meclisî'nin Tefsir Metodu

Abstract

Bu çalışma, itikatta Eş'arî, amelde Mâlikî olan Muhammed b. Muhammed Sâlim el-Meclisî'ye (öl.1302/1885) ait olan er-Reyyân Fi Tefsîri'l-Kur'ân adlı tefsir eserini incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu çalışmanın ana gayesi, Meclisî'nin tefsir anlayışını çok yönlü bir biçimde incelemek; yaşadığı dönemdeki ilmî çevre içerisindeki yerini, mensubu olduğu ekolle olan ilişkisini ve çağdaşları arasındaki özgün konumunu belirlemek; ayrıca tefsir eserinin yöntemi, kullandığı ilmî kaynaklar ve Kur'ân'ı yorumlama tarzı ekseninde sistematik bir çözümlemesini yapmaktır. Araştırmada öncelikle Meclisî'nin ilmî şahsiyeti, yaşadığı dönemin ilmî ve siyasî şartları, mensup olduğu ilmî gelenek ve sahip olduğu itikâdî arka plan tespit edilmiştir. Ardından Reyyân adlı eserin içerik yapısı, kaynak kullanımı, rivayet ve dirayet dengesi, ayetlerin yorumlanış biçimleri, mezhebî yaklaşımı, tasavvufî eğilimleri gibi temel noktalar çerçevesinde değerlendirilmiştir. Özellikle müellifin, Kur'an'daki lafızların dilsel yapısına atfettiği önem, Kur'an ilimlerinin inceliklerine yer verme yaklaşımı ile Kur'an kıssalarının, âyetler ve sûreler arası tenasüp ve anlam ilişkilerinin tahliline yönelik yöntemi kapsamlı biçimde incelenmiştir. Betimleyici yöntem kapsamında Meclisî'nin tefsirlerinde kullandığı yöntemler titizlikle incelenmiş, düşünce dünyasını şekillendiren temel unsurlar tespit edilmiştir. Ardından eser tahlil yöntemi kullanılarak bu unsurlar detaylı bir şekilde çözümlenmiş ve yorumlanmıştır. Böylece Meclisî'nin tefsir metodolojisinin genel çerçevesi belirlenirken aynı zamanda onun yorum anlayışının hangi fikrî ve ilmî temellere dayandığı da ortaya konulmuştur. Reyyân, yalnızca klasik tefsir metinlerine bağlı kalan bir eser değil aynı zamanda müellifin kişisel ilmî birikimi ve yorum gücünü yansıtan nitelikli bir tefsir çalışması olarak öne çıkmaktadır.

This study aims to examine the tafsir work titled al-Rayyān fī Tafsīr al-Qur'ān, authored by Muḥammad b. Muḥammad Sālim al-Majlisī (d. 1302/1885), who adhered to the Ashʿarī creed in theology and the Mālikī school in jurisprudence. The main objective of this study is to conduct a comprehensive analysis of Meclisî's exegetical approach, to identify his position within the intellectual milieu of his time, to explore his affiliation with a particular exegetical school, and to highlight his unique standing among his contemporaries. Furthermore, the study aims to present a systematic examination of his tafsir methodology, the scholarly sources he utilized, and his interpretive approach to the Qur'ān. The research first explores al-Majlisī's scholarly identity, the intellectual and political conditions of his era, the scholarly tradition he belonged to, and his theological background. Subsequently, al-Rayyān is evaluated in terms of its structural content, use of sources, balance between transmitted (riwāyah) and rational (dirāyah) approaches, methods of interpreting verses, sectarian standpoint, and Sufi inclinations. Particular emphasis is placed on the author's attention to the linguistic structure of Qur'anic expressions, his engagement with the subtleties of Qur'anic sciences, and his method of analyzing Qur'anic narratives as well as the coherence and semantic interrelations between verses and sūrahs. Within the framework of the descriptive method, the exegetical approaches employed by al-Majlisī in his tafsīr works have been meticulously examined, and the fundamental elements shaping his intellectual framework have been identified. Subsequently, through the method of textual analysis, these elements have been analyzed and interpreted in detail. In doing so, not only has the general outline of al-Majlisī's exegetical methodology been determined, but also the intellectual and scholarly foundations underpinning his interpretive perspective have been revealed. In these respects, al-Rayyān stands out not only as a work that adheres to classical tafsir traditions but also as a distinguished exegetical study reflecting the author's personal scholarly depth and interpretive insight.
