Din psikolojisi açısından insanın anlam arayışı problemine Ferîdüddin Attâr'ın Mantıku't-Tayr eseri bağlamında bir bakış

Abstract

İranlı sûfi mütefekkir Ferîdüddîn Attar'ın Mantıku't-Tayr adlı eseri tasavvufi öğretinin sembolik dil ile harmanlanarak ele alınan alegorik bir eserdir. Tasavvufi eserlerde yer alan mantıku't-tayr terkibi "kuş dili" olarak bilinen sembolik anlatımın vahdet-i vücûd anlayışını anlatmada kullanılmıştır. İnsanın anlam arayışının merkezinde ve sûfi öğretide yer alan insan-ı kâmil anlayışı, insanın nihai anlam arayışına yanıt veren unsurlardan biri olmuştur. Bu bağlamda çalışmanın amacı, din psikolojisi perspektifinde insanın anlam sorunsalına Attar'ın Mantıku't-Tayr eseri bağlamında incelenmesidir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmış olup doküman analizi ile çözümlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın evrenini Attar'ın Mantıku't-Tayr adlı eserinde yer alan metaforik unsurlar oluşturmaktadır. Eserde yer alan metaforik unsurlar ve anlatımlar analiz edilmiş ve sonuç olarak Attar'ın eserinde insanın hakikate ulaşma yolculuğunda yer verdiği kuş ve vadi metaforları, din psikolojisi açısından incelenmeye çalışılarak günümüz dünyasına aktarılmaya çalışıldığında, insanın anlam arayışına ışık tutacak ve manevi eğitim sürecine dahil edilerek anlaşılması gereken bir eser olarak görülmektedir.

Iranian Sufi writer Ferîdüddin Attar's Mantıku't-Tayr is an allegorical work that is handled by blending mystical teaching with symbolic language. The combination of mantıku't-tayr in Sufi works has been used to describe the understanding of unity of existence of symbolic expression known as "bird language". The understanding of the perfect human being, which is at the center of the individual's search for meaning and in the Sufi teaching, has been one of the elements that respond to the human's search for ultimate meaning. In this context, the aim of the study is to examine the problematic of humans meaning in the perspective of the psychology of religion in the context of Attar's Mantıku't-Tayr. The work has been tried to be examined by associating it with the search for meaning, existential journey and self-realization process in the development processes of human beings in fields such as the psychology of religion and mysticism, together with the perspective of today's psychology. Qualitative research method was used in the research and it was tried to be resolved by document analysis. The universe of the study consists of the metaphorical elements in Attar's Mantıku't-Tayr. The metaphorical elements and expressions in the work were analyzed and as a result, when the bird and valley metaphors that Attar included in the human's journey to reach the truth in his work, are tried to be analyzed in terms of psychology of religion and transferred to today's world, it will shed light on the search for meaning of human and it seen as a necessary work that will be understood by including in the spiritual education process. In this context, the metaphorical narration symbolized by the figurative expression in the work is an adventure of the inner return journey of the human, which represents the journey of searching for herself/himself, from the past to the present, in which the human being sets out to find God.
