Gıda ve Su İsrafı’nın Sosyoekonomik Boyutu - İslamî Perspektiften Bir Analiz -

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, gıda/su kıtlığını ve israfını sosyoekonomik boyutlar ile ilişkilendirerek incelemek ve israfın engellenmesine dair çeşitli öneriler sunmaktır. Yaşadığımız dünyada bir yanda yetersiz beslenme ve açlık ile mücadelede bulunurken diğer tarafta ise her geçen gün artan gıda ve su israfı söz konusu olmaktadır. Her türlü eylemde aşırılığı ifade eden israf kavramı bireysel ve toplumsal yaşamda hayatı zorlaştıran bir olgudur. Bu nedenle de İslam dini insanları israf noktasında uyarmakta, israfa karşın itidalli ve iktisadî davranmaya teşvik etmektedir. Bu meyanda Kur’ân-ı Kerîm’de pek çok ayette israf kavramı, israf ile eş ve zıt anlamlı kavramlar kullanılarak bireylerin konuya dikkati çekilmektedir. İsraf; inanç, dav ranışsal ve üretim-tüketim boyutu gibi birçok alanın içinde kendine yer bulabilmektedir. İsrafın en yaygın yaşandığı alanlardan biri gıda ve su başta olmak üzere üretim ve tüketim noktasıdır. Dünyada herkes için yeterli miktarda gıda üretilmesine rağmen paylaşımda ya şanan sorunlar yüzünden maalesef hala pek çok insanın yeterince gıdaya ulaşımı mümkün olamamaktadır. Bu sorunun önüne geçmenin en önemli adımlarından birisi de israfın en gellenmesinden geçmektedir. İsrafın engellenebilmesi için öncelikli olarak israfa neden olan sorunlar tespit edilmelidir. Söz konusu sorunlardan bazıları; yeri dünyevileşme ile doldurul mak istenen inanç boşluğu, pazarlama/reklam destekli tüketim anlayışı ve sosyal medya tara fından fonlanan moda endüstrisi gibi maddeler sayılabilir. Ayrıca israfın önüne geçebilmek için onun yıkıcı etkilerinin farkına varılması da önemli bir adımı oluşturmaktadır. Hülasa, israfla mücadelede bireysel, toplumsal, ulusal ve küresel çalışmaların birlikte, koordineli ola rak sürdürülmesi sorunun çözümü için bir hayli önem arz etmektedir.

T he aim of this study is to examine food & water scarcity and waste in relation to socioeconomic dimensions. It also tries to offers variou suggestions to prevent waste. In the world we live in; on the one hand, we are struggling with malnutrition and hunger, while on the other hand, there is increasing food and water waste. The concept of waste, which expresses excess in all kinds of actions, is a phenomenon that makes life difficult in individual and social life. The religion of Islam, on the other hand, warns people about waste and encourages them to act moderately and economically against the waste. In this sense, in many verses of the Holy Qur’ân, people’s attention is drawn to the subject by using the concept of waste and its synonyms and antonyms. Waste; it can find a place in many areas such as belief, behavioral and production-consumption dimensions. One of the areas where waste is most common is the point of production and consumption, especially food and water. Although there is enough food for everyone in the world, unfortunately many people still do not have access to food due to inefficient use and not fair sharing. The most important step to prevent this problem is to prevent waste. In order to prevent waste, the problems that cause waste must first be identified. Some of the identified problems are as follows: The belief gap that is intended to be filled by secularization; advertising-supported consumption; issues like the fashion industry being funded by social media. In addition, to prevent waste, awareness of its destructive effects is another important step. In short, coordinated individual, social, local and global efforts will be effective to combat wastage.
