Okul Öncesi Eğitimde Matematik Etkinliklerinde Uygulanan Oyunların Çocukların Dikkat Beceri Düzeyine Etkisi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı okul öncesi eğitimde matematik etkinliklerinde uygulan oyunların çocukların dikkat beceri düzeyine etkisinin olup olmadığını belirlemektir. Araştırma, kontrol gruplu ön test son test içeren yarı deneysel desene göre tasarlanmış ve yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada " (Beş Yaş Çocukları için Dikkat Testi)- (FTF-K) " uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, 30 öğrenci kontrol gurubunda ve 30 öğrenci de deney grubunda olmak üzere, 2023-2024 eğitim öğretim yılı İstanbul Tuzla ilçesinde bir devlet okulunda eğitim gören 5-6 yaş aralığında 60 öğrenciden oluşmaktadır. Deney ve kontrol gruplarına ön test olarak FTF-K dikkat testi uygulanmıştır. Deney grubunda yer alan çocuklara 4 hafta boyunca, haftanın 5 günü oyun yöntemi kullanılarak planlanan ve 30-40 dakika süren "Matematik etkinlikleri" yapılmıştır. Bu eğitim sonucunda deney ve kontrol gruplarına son test olarak FTF-K dikkat testi uygulanmıştır. Ön test ve son test arasında istatistiki olarak anlamlı bir farklılık olup olmadığı fark testi uygulanarak analiz edilmiştir. Deney ve kontrol grubu arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olup olmadığını belirlemek için t-testinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda kontrol ve deney gruplar arasında anlamlı bir farklılık olduğu görülmüştür. "Matematik Oyun Etkinliklerinin" okul öncesi çocukların dikkat becerileri düzeylerini artırmada etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

The aim of this study is to determine whether the games used in mathematics activities in preschool education have an effect on children's attention skill level. The research was designed and conducted according to a quasi-experimental design with a control group, pre-test and post-test."(Attention Test for Five-Year-Old Children)- (FTF-K)" was applied in the study. The study group of the research consists of 60 students aged 5-6 years old, studying at a public school in Tuzla district of Istanbul in the 2023-2024 academic year, 30 students in the control group and 30 students in the experimental group. FTF-K attention test was applied to the experimental and control groups as a pre-test. Children in the experimental group were given "Mathematics activities" planned using the game method and lasting 30-40 minutes, 5 days a week for 4 weeks. As a result of this training, the FTF-K attention test was applied to the experimental and control groups as a posttest. Whether there was a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test was analyzed by applying the difference test. The t-test was used to determine whether there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups. As a result of the research, it was seen that there was a significant difference between the control and experimental groups. It has been concluded that "Mathematical Play Activities" are effective in increasing the attention skills of preschool children.
