Öğretmenlerin iş yaşam dengesi ile mesleki bağlılık düzeyleri arasındaki ilişki

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı; öğretmenlerin iş yaşam dengesi ile mesleki bağlılık düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, 2020-2021 Eğitim ve Öğretim yılı, İstanbul ili Küçükçekmece ilçesinde görev yapmakta olan 400 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma örneklemi belirlenirken basit tesadüfi örneklem yöntemi kullanılmıştır.Veri toplama aracı olarak, "Kişisel Bilgi Formu", "İş Yaşam Dengesi Ölçeği" ve "Mesleki Bağlılık Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgularda, ankete katılan öğretmenlerin genel iş yaşam dengesi düzeyleri "yüksek", yaşamı ihmal etme alt boyutunda "orta" diğer alt boyutlar "yüksek" düzeyde tespit edilmiştir. Öğretmenlerin genel iş yaşam dengesi ve alt boyut düzeyleri branş, çocuk sahibi olma durumu, görev yaptığı kurum türüne göre farklılık gösterdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin genel mesleki bağlılık düzeyleri ve duygusal bağlılık düzeyleri "yüksek"; birikmiş maliyetler, alternatiflerin sınırlılığı ve normatif bağlılık düzeyleri "orta" olarak belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenlerin genel mesleki bağlılık ve alt boyutları; medeni durum, yaş, branş, hizmet yılı, görev yaptığı kurum türüne ve çocuk sahibi olma durumuna göre farklılık gösterdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin genel iş yaşam dengesi ve alt boyutları ile genel mesleki bağlılık ve alt boyutları arasında anlamlı ilişkiye rastlanılmamıştır. Öğretmenlerin genel iş yaşam dengesinin mesleki bağlıklarını yordamadığı, duygusal bağlılık alt boyutunu pozitif, birikmiş maliyetler alt boyutunu ise negatif yönde etkilediği bulunmuştur.

The purpose of this research; the aim of this study is to examine the relationship between teachers work-life balance and occupational commitment levels. The sample of the research consists of 400 teachers working in the Küçükçekmece district of Istanbul in the 2020-2021 academic year. Simple random sampling method was used while determining the research sample."Personal Information Form", "Work-Life Balance Scale" and "Vocational Commitment Scale" were used as data collection tools. In the findings obtained, the general work-life balance levels of the teachers participating in the survey were "high", "medium" in the neglect of life sub-dimension, and "high" in other sub-dimensions. It was concluded that teachers' general work-life balance and sub-dimension levels differ according to branch, having children, and the type of institution they work in. teachers' general occupational commitment and emotional commitment levels are "high"; accumulated costs, limitedness of alternatives and normative adherence levels were determined as "moderate". general occupational commitment and sub-dimensions of teachers; It has been concluded that it differs according to marital status, age, branch, years of service, type of institution and having a child. No significant relationship was found between teachers' general work-life balance and sub-dimensions and general occupational commitment and sub-dimensions. It was found that the general work-life balance of teachers did not predict their occupational commitment, it affected the affective commitment sub-dimension positively and the accumulated costs sub-dimension negatively.
