Okul yöneticilerinin öğretim liderliği davranışları ile okul kültürünün öğretmen performansına etkisi

Abstract

Okul yöneticilerinin öğretim liderliği davranışları ile okul kültürünün öğretmen performanslarına etkisini incelemeyi amaçlayan bu çalışmada, okul yöneticilerinin ve öğretmenlerin okul kültürü, öğretim liderliği özellikleri ve öğretmen performansları hakkında istatistiksel olarak çıkarımlarda bulunulması hedeflenmiştir. Bu çıkarımlar doğrultusunda okullardaki sosyal ve akademik başarıyı arttırmak için gereklilik duyulan öğretmen performansının, okul kültürü ve yöneticilerin öğretim liderliği davranışlarının önemlilik derecesi vurgulanabilecektir. Araştırma İstanbul ili Eyüpsultan ilçesinde bulunan devlet okullarında görev yapmakta olan, olasılıksız örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen 304 öğretmen ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışmada, öğretmen performansının öğretmenlerin cinsiyetine göre anlamlı olarak farklılaştığı, okul yöneticilerinin sergiledikleri öğretim liderliği davranışları ile başarı ve destek kültürleri arasında zayıf düzeyde pozitif yönde ilişki olduğu, öğretmenlerin sergiledikleri mesleki performansları ile okul yöneticilerinin öğretim liderliği davranışları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki olmadığı gibi sonuçlar yer almaktadır. Ancak okul yöneticilerinin öğretim liderliği alt boyutlarından mesleki gelişim boyutu ile öğretmen performansı alt boyutlarından öğrenme öğretme sürecini hazırlama boyutu arasında çok zayıf ve pozitifi yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu görülmüştür.

In this study, which aims to examine the effects of school administrators' instructional leadership behaviors and school culture on teacher performances, it is aimed to make statistical inferences about school culture, instructional leadership characteristics and teacher performances of school administrators and teachers. In line with these inferences, the importance of teacher performance, school culture and instructional leadership behaviors of administrators, which are necessary to increase social and academic success in schools, can be emphasized. The research was carried out with 304 teachers who were working in public schools in Eyüpsultan district of Istanbul province, determined by the 'Probability (Unlikely) Sampling Method'. In the study, there are results such as teacher performance differs significantly according to the gender of teachers, there is a weak positive relationship between the teaching leadership behaviors of school administrators and success and support cultures, there is no significant relationship between the professional performances of teachers and the teaching leadership behaviors of school administrators. However, it has been observed that there is a very weak and positive significant relationship between the professional development dimension, which is one of the instructional leadership sub-dimensions of school administrators, and the dimension of preparing the learning-teaching process, which is one of the teacher performance sub-dimensions.
