Lise öğrencilerinin mahremiyet ile ilgili görüşlerinin incelenmesi: Sivas ili örneği

Abstract

Bu tez çalışmasında mahremiyet kavramı ve bu kavramın boyutları ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada lise düzeyinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin mahremiyet kavramı ve boyutlarına ilişkin görüşlerinin tespit edilmesi ve incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Durum çalışmasına uygun olarak konunun derinlemesine çalışılmasına imkân tanıyan amaçlı örneklem yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubu seçiminde Sivas ili Merkez ilçesinde bulunan 3 farklı lisede eğitim gören öğrenciler katılımcı olarak belirlenmiştir. Mülakata katılan 30 gönüllü öğrenci çalışma grubunu oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın veri toplama sürecinde uzman görüşleri doğrultusunda araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılarak yüz yüze görüşmeler gerçekleştirilmiştir. Mülakat sonucunda elde edilen bulgular, nitel analiz yöntemlerinden biri olan içerik analiz yöntemi kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler uzman görüşleri alınarak yorumlanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda bulgular incelendiğinde mülakata katılan öğrencilerin mahremiyet algılarını kendi anlam dünyalarına göre tanımladıkları tespit edilmiştir. Mahremiyete dair üzerinde en çok durdukları kavramların gizlilik ve özel alan olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ailenin ve sosyal çevrenin de mahremiyet eğitiminde etkili olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğrenciler için mahremiyetlerini korumak önem arz etmektedir. Sosyal medya mahremiyeti konusunda öğrencilerin çoğunluğunun bilinçli olduğu gözlemlenmiştir.

This thesis addresses the concept of privacy and its dimensions. The study aims to determine and examine the views of high school students regarding the concept of privacy and its dimensions. A case study design, which is one of the qualitative research methods, was used in the research. In accordance with the case study approach, a purposive sampling method was used, allowing the topic to be studied in depth. Students studying in three different high schools in the central district of Sivas were selected as participants for the study group. The study group consisted of 30 voluntary students who participated in interviews. During the data collection process, face-to-face interviews were conducted using a semi-structured interview form prepared by the researchers, based on expert opinions. The findings obtained from the interviews were evaluated using the content analysis method, one of the qualitative analysis techniques. The data obtained were interpreted with expert opinions. When the findings of the research were examined, it was found that the students participating in the interviews defined their perception of privacy according to their own understanding. The concepts of secrecy and personal space were identified as the most emphasized aspects of privacy. It was concluded that family and social environment play a significant role in privacy education. Protecting their privacy was found to be important for students. It was observed that most students were aware of social media privacy.
