Öğretmen adaylarının çocuk haklarına yönelik tutumlarının bazı değişkenlere göre incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırma, öğretmen adaylarının çocuk haklarına yönelik tutumlarını bazı değişkenlere göre incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma örneklemini, İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim Üniversitesi’nde pedagojik formasyon programında öğrenim görmekte olan toplam 135 öğretmen adayı oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve Karaman-Kepenekçi (2006) tarafından geliştirilen Çocuk Haklarına İlişkin Tutum Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda görülmüştür ki; öğretmen adaylarının çocuk haklarına ilişkin tutumları yaş, medeni durum, mezun olunan üniversite türü, çocuk haklarıyla ilgili herhangi bir eğitim alıp almama durumu, Türkiye’nin çocuk hakları konusunda duyarlı olup olmamasına dair algıları, çocukken kendi çocuk haklarına uygun davranılıp davranılmadığına dair algıları ve öğretmenlerin çocuk haklarına uygun davranıp davranmadığına dair algılarına göre farklılaşmamakta; cinsiyet, öğretmenlik mesleğini tercih nedeni, mezun olunan lisans programına göre ise farklılaşmaktadır.

The purpose of this research is to examine prospective teachers' attitudes towards child rights in terms of some variables. The sample of the study is consisted of 135 prospective teachers who study in pedagojical formation program at İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim University. The research was conducted in the “İlişkisel Tarama” model. The tool that are used for data collection were “Personal Information Form” that is developed by the researcher and “Child Rights Attitude Scale” that was developed by Karaman- Kepenekçi (2006). At the end of the research, it was founded that the attitudes of prospective teachers towards child rights did not differ significantly in terms of age, marital status, type of university that are graduated, state of having any training on child rights, perception of the prospective teachers about Turkey’s sensitivity on child rights, perception of the prospective teachers that whether people behaved properly on their child rights when they were child, perception of the prospective teachers that whether teachers behave properly on child rights. But, the attitudes of prospective teachers towards child rights showed a significant difference in terms of gender, the reason for choosing teaching profession, the degree program that are graduated.
