At yarışları sektöründe çalışan seyislerin iş sağlığı ve güvenliği analizi

Abstract

İş sağlığı ve güvenliği Türkiye’de hâlâ gelişmekte olan bir konudur. İş sağlığı ve güvenliği konusunda birçok sektörün eksiklikleri bulunmaktadır. Türkiye’deki at yarışları sektörü de bu sektörlerden birisidir. At yarışları ülke ekonomisine ve istihdamına büyük katkılar sağlayan bir sektördür. At yarışları sektörünün en önemli paydaşlarından birisi seyislerdir. Seyisler atlar ile birebir temas halinde olan ve yarış yerlerinde atlar ile en çok zaman geçiren kişilerdir. Çalışma esnasında iş sağlığı ve güvenliği açısından ciddi risklere maruz kalmaktadırlar. Bu çalışmanın amacı, seyislerin çalışma esnasında maruz kaldıkları riskleri belirlemek ve bu risklere karşı farkındalıklarının arttırılmasını sağlamaktır. Bu çalışma İstanbul Veliefendi Hipodromunda çalışan seyislere uygulanan bir anket yardımıyla incelenecek olup, seyislerin çalışma alanının ve çalışanların iş güvenliği açısından analizini yapacaktır.

Occupational health and safety is still a developing issue in Turkey. There are deficiencies in terms of occupational health and safety in many sectors. The horse racing industry in Turkey is one of these sectors. Horse racing is a sector that makes significant contributions to the country's economy and employment. One of the most important stakeholders in the horse racing industry is the grooms. Grooms are the individuals who have direct contact with horses and spend the most time with them at the racing venues. They are exposed to serious risks in terms of occupational health and safety during their work. The aim of this study is to identify the risks that grooms are exposed to during their work and to increase their awareness of these risks. This study will be examined through a survey applied to grooms working at Istanbul Veliefendi Racecourse, and will analyze the working environment and employees in terms of occupational health and safety.
