Okul müdürlerinin dağıtımcı ve hizmetkâr liderlik stillerinin öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimine etkisi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmen algısına göre okul müdürlerinin dağıtımcı ve hizmetkâr liderlik stillerinin öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimlerine etkisini incelemektir. Bu araştırma, nicel araştırma yöntemine ve ilişkisel tarama desenine göre gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2021-2022 eğitim ve öğretim yılında İstanbul ili Avcılar ve Küçükçekmece ilçelerinde kamu anaokulu, ilkokul, ortaokul ve liselerde görev yapmakta olan ve kolay ulaşılır örneklem yöntemiyle seçilen 437 öğretmenden oluşmaktadır. Veriler, Kişisel Bilgi Formu, ''Hizmetkâr Liderlik Ölçeği'', ''Dağıtılmış Liderlik Envanteri" ve "Mesleki Gelişime Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği'' kullanılarak elde edilmiştir. Verilerin analizi sürecinde, Bağımsız Grup t-Testi, ANOVA Testi, Pearson Korelasyon Analizi ve Regresyon Analizi teknikleri kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre okul müdürlerinin dağıtımcı ve hizmetkâr liderlik stilleri öğretmenlerin cinsiyetlerine, eğitim ve medeni durumlarına göre anlamlı farklılık göstermezken; öğretmenlerin kıdemlerine, görev yaptıkları okul kademelerine ve yaşlarına göre anlamlı farklılık göstermektedir. Okul müdürlerinin dağıtımcı ve hizmetkâr liderlik stilleri ile öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimlerine yönelik tutumları arasında pozitif yönde ve orta düzeyde anlamlı ilişki olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Son olarak okul müdürlerinin dağıtımcı ve hizmetkâr liderlik stilleri, öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimlerine yönelik tutumlarını benzer oranda ve olumlu yönde yordamaktadır.

The purpose of this research is to examine the effects of school principals' distributive and servant leadership styles on teachers' professional development according to teacher perception. This research was carried out according to the quantitative research method and correlational survey model. The study group of the research consists of 437 teachers who are working in public kindergartens, primary schools, secondary schools and high schools in Avcılar and Küçükçekmece districts in Istanbul in the 2021-2022 academic year and selected by the easily accessible sampling method. The data were obtained using the "Personal Information Form", the "Servant Leadership Scale", the "Distributed Leadership Inventory" and the "Attitude Scale towards Professional Development". During the analysis of the data, Independent Group t-Test, ANOVA Test, Pearson Correlation Analysis and Regression Analysis techniques were used. According to the findings of the study, while the distributive and servant leadership styles of school principals do not differ significantly according to teachers' gender, education and marital status; it differs significantly according to the seniority of the teachers, the school level they work in and their age. It has been revealed that there is a positive and moderately significant relationship between school principals' distributive and servant leadership styles and teachers' attitudes towards their professional development. Finally, school principals' distributive and servant leadership styles predict teachers' attitudes towards their professional development in a similar and positive way.
