Eğitim Fakültesi Öğrencilerinin Akreditasyon Algısı

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı eğitimleri esnasında ve mezuniyetleri sonrasında kendileri açısından çok önemli bir yer tutan akreditasyon olgusuna ilişkin Eğitim Fakültesi öğrencilerinin, öğrenim görmekte oldukları programların akreditasyon sürecinden geçme durumuna göre akreditasyon algılarının ne düzeyde olduğunun tespit edilmesidir. Çalışmanın katılımcılarını İstanbul’da bir vakıf üniversitesinin eğitim fakültesinde Öğretmenlik Eğitim Programları Değerlendirme ve Akreditasyon Derneği (EPDAD) tarafından akredite olan, akreditasyon süreci devam eden ve akreditasyon süreci henüz başlamamış lisans programlarında eğitim gören üniversite öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden betimsel tarama yöntem kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada Semerci tarafından geliştirilen “Akreditasyon Algısı Ölçeği” (AA) kullanılmıştır. Akreditasyon Algısı Ölçeğinde yer alan 17 adet madde ve demografik bilgileri içeren maddeler Google forms üzerinden çevrimiçi anket formatında hazırlanmış ve fakültede bulunan öğrenciler ile e-posta ve kısa mesaj yoluyla paylaşılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde ortalamalara, standart sapmalara bakılmış, ikili gruplarda Mann Whitney-U testi kullanılmıştır. İkiden fazla gruplarda ise Kruskal Wallis testi kullanılmıştır. Kruskal Wallis testi sonucunda gruplar arasında anlamlı bir fark olduğu belirlendiğinde, farkın hangi gruplar lehine olduğunu belirlemek için Mann Whitney-U testi yapılmıştır. Farklı değişkenlere göre eğitim fakültesi öğrencilerinin akreditasyon algısı düzeylerinin incelendiği araştırmanın bulgularında kalite değerlendirme (X 2=10,163; Sd=3; p<,05) alt boyutunda anlamlı bir farklılık bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir. Benzer biçimde akreditasyon algısı puanlarında öğrencilerin ağırlıklı genel not ortalaması (AGNO) değişkenine göre anlamlı bir farklılık bulunduğu tespit edilmiştir (X 2=8,453; Sd=3; p<,05).

The aim of this study is to determine the level of accreditation perception of the Faculty of Education students regarding the accreditation phenomenon, which has a very important place for them during their education and after their graduation, according to the accreditation process of the programs they are studying. The participants of the study consist of university students studying in undergraduate programs accredited by the Association for the Evaluation and Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs (EPDAD) at the education faculty of a foundation university in Istanbul, whose accreditation process is still ongoing, and whose accreditation process has not yet started. In the research, descriptive survey method, one of the quantitative research methods, was used. “Accreditation Perception Scale” (AP) developed by Semerci was used in the research. The data obtained were shared with the faculty students through the Google Forms application and the data were collected. In the analysis of the data, the means and standard deviations were checked, and the Mann Whitney-U test was used in paired groups. Kruskal Wallis test was used in groups of more than two. When it was determined that there was a significant difference between the groups as a result of the Kruskal Wallis test, the Mann Whitney-U test was used to determine which groups the difference was in favour of. It was determined that there was a significant difference in the quality assessment (X 2=10.163; df=3; p<.05) sub-dimension in the findings of the study, which examined the perception of accreditation of education faculty students according to different variables. Similarly, it was determined that there was a significant difference in accreditation perception scores according to the grade point average (GPA) variable of the students (X 2=8.453; df=3; p<.05).
